 I am incredibly grateful to have received the Victoria Italian Assistance Center Scholarship.

 I will use this award to help continue my education at the University of Victoria, where I plan to pursue a degree in Political Science with a minor in Environmental Science. My goal is to earn a law degree after my undergrad and eventually work as a policy analyst. I hope to contribute meaningfully to finding solutions to challenges facing my local community and environment.   

 I have always been passionate about learning about politics, law, environmental issues, and the ways in which policy can create positive change. My Italian heritage has also played an important role in shaping who I am. My love for the environment started with my Nonno's garden. Spending time at my grandparents house has greatly shaped the way I approach problem solving and the values I carry with me today.

 This scholarship will help support me as I begin this next chapter of my education and work toward my future goals. I would like to thank the Victoria Italian Assistance Center for this generous award and support in furthering my education journey.

 GABRIELA ROYLE:

 I am honoured to receive the Victoria Italian Assistance Centre Scholarship this year.

 I have always felt a deep connection to my culture as it has largely contributed to creating my identity. I have a profound interest in learning languages. I feel very passionate about being able to communicate with a larger scope of people and learn about their culture. I hope to continue improving my Italian language skills so I can better connect with my family and culture. Along with language, music and reading are other hobbies that I enjoy.

 I will be attending the University of Victoria this fall where I will begin to work towards earning a degree in Linguistics. Consecutively, I will use this degree to obtain a Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology. This career will foster my interest in psychology, language, and neuroscience, and give me the opportunity to help others.

 This scholarship is very meaningful to me and will aid in building my future so I share my deep gratitude with the Victoria Italian Assistance Centre.

We host wedding receptions, seasonal parties, and specialty events utilising a commercial kitchen, raised stage, cushioned chairs, long and round tables, and Victoria’s smoothest dance floor.
Bring your family and friends to a beautiful, spacious hall and dance to the late hours of the night. There’s a stage for a band and speeches, and a commercial kitchen and bar for keeping guests going.
